I'm an ex-NHS pupil, Gill Carey was an amazing headteacher (deputy in my time). She was an indomitable woman.
My biggest regret was not visiting Northern House more often when I had the chance.
I'll hopefully be attending the funeral. I'll be the one with the black fedora with white stylus.

I was so sorry to learn of Gill’s death. She was such a special person who inspired all those around her. She combined a warm, caring personality with outstanding leadership and will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with you all.

I came to visit Northern house today, i was a little bit worried at first as i didn't know what to expect, however as soon as i had a look around your lovely school it made me feel alot better, i met some lovely young boys today who were very kind enough to tell me there names and what they were doing. I'm very excited that my little boy will hopefully be joining you all soon! hope you all have a fun half term !!!!

I have just seen the fantastic report following the recent visit from the Ofsted inspectors.

The report is a credit to the Head, Teachers, staff and pupils at the school and is recognition of the hard work you all put in and the things that you achieve together.

All of Mrs MacPherson's class went down to the Explorer Dome. We learned more about Forces. I liked the rockets and pretending to be a spaceman and going up into space.

Hello everyone! What is everybody up to? eh? nobody really replies to me only Mrs Macpherson or Mrs Carey or Miss Carver responds so maybe Corey could reply.

My favourite lessons in school were reading, playing and art. I did not like maths and was not very good at it!!
I think Mr Willis has made the science lessons very good and I would have liked science if I had had chicks in my school.
I am looking forward to Sports Relief and watching you all learn football skills.

Hello Corey, I am alright, COUGHS i got a cough so if im sick ill tell Mrs MacPherson.

My favourite lessons are art, ICT, reading and writing, Maths Whizz, Starspell, music, PE, RE, science and history. I like playtimes and target football.

My favourite thing in school is writing my book. It is about space. It is called The Adventures in Outer Space.

I hope Peter is alright and his family. My favourite lessons are maths, ICT, Google Earth, searching using Google, Starspell, writing, basketball and Target.

My favourite lessons at school were PE, Art, English and Music. One school I went to had a drum kit and we got to learn how to play for a while which was great. I used to play a lot of sports and was in the hockey, rounders and athletics teams. The only downside was that you had to be in the cross country team too which I didn't enjoy at all! Maths and Science were my least favourite subjects.

Hi everybody at Northern house, thought i would enter into this discussion also! My favourite lesson is Art! and i am very lucky because im doing a special course that means i get to do art everyday for a whole year! When i was at school i hated P.E, especially football and netball or any sport where a ball came anywhere near me! xxx

Okay Peter, I'll start an idea. How about commenting on your favourite lessons and why you like them. The adults could write about what lessons they like teaching best and what lessons they enjoyed when they were in school.
My favourite lessons to teach are: science, ICT and numeracy, but I also like teaching children to enjoy reading and writing. My least favourite lessons to teach are RE and local history and geography.
When I was at school, I loved writing stories and PE (hockey, tennis, netball and badminton). :)
I didn't like RE, French, maths and music appreciation lessons - we had to listen to classical music for whole lessons when we would rather listen to rock music!!!! :(

Should also say that two of my A Level Psychology students spent a week at Northern House last month. They commented on how helpful and friendly everyone had been.....and that they had had a really interesting time. Many thanks to all involved.
